Pete Whitridge is a licensed massage therapist in Florida and an approved provider for both the State of Florida and NCBTMB.  He is the former Assistant Director at the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, FL.  He teaches “Myofascial Components of Pain” workshops throughout the Southeast, as well as Florida law and business building classes.  His training as an EMT, a CPR instructor, and 30 years of teaching experience have given him many insights into the learning process.  Pete incorporates visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learning aides to provide students with a well-rounded class.  Students receive individual attention and everyone is encouraged to HAVE FUN!”

Pete Whitridge is doing two presentations at the AMTA convention in Cincinnati:

1) Business Skills: Creating Success, is specifically designed for the newer and developing massage therapist. In his convention presentation you will explore marketing for success, bookkeeping, tax/legal issues, and employment versus independent contractor status. This presentation is designed to help you solidify your foundation by enhancing your knowledge, organizational skills, attitude and confidence.
2) Business Skills: Vision for your future – This class is designed for the advanced therapist who is ready for the next step.  We will explore models of success, long range planning, and commercial property ownership.  We’ll cover vital tax and retirement issues, practice management, and selling your practice.  This class will give you inspiration and support to achieve your dreams.
