The Mystery of Pain with
Doug Nelson
Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 3:00PM
Eastern Standard Time (New York time)
At the
AMTA convention Doug Nelson will discuss the Mystery of Pain.
While every massage therapist deals with people in pain, few
understand the complex mechanisms behind the anatomy of pain.
In his seminar, you will explore the complexities of pain
mechanisms and the application of new research to clinical
practice. You will also explore the clinical applications
through case studies and hands-on technique.
Doug Nelson has been practicing
massage therapy since 1977. He has an extensive clinical practice,
teaches Precision Neuromuscular Therapy and conducts numerous
clinical research studies.

I just want to thank you for another
excellent broadcast! The informatin Doug Nelson shared about pain -
chronic vs acute; nocioceptors in the tissues vs. interpretation in
the brain - was so very interesting and informative! I could have
listened for hours. I will plan to attend [the AMTA Convention] and
hear for myself the great speakers and programs, made
available for us.
I truly look forward to the next broadcast
- thank you for providing this for us and also providing the
ability to hear it if we are unable to listen at the actual time it
is being done. Keep up the excellent work you are doing--I do
appreciate it so much!!
Sincerely, Sharon
